Colonel is my go to guy for most everything. He is very sure footed in rough country and can travel all day. He was used for reined cow horse in his younger days and knows all of the reining maneuvers so he is very light and sensitive. Spins, backs, side passes, changes leads very fluently. We have gathered a lot of cows on him, he doesn't mind a rope or a bull whip. He is not for a beginner as he has LOTS of go and will cover country in a quick hurry if it was up to him. He would excel in an arena in barrels or poles with a little patterning, use him on the ranch for those all day hard rides where you don't want a quitter, or take him back to reined cow.
